My recent Miu Miu mishap

I was so shocked when I reached for something in my bag and as I pulled my hand out, my ring got caught in one of the threads of the bag.  Imagine my big sigh as I was looking at what happened to the bag 😦
I’d tried stretching it and it looked better a bit.

I think this is my bag that took the most beatings.  Way back, my daughter got it and carried it but she was too small so the bag reached the very rough floor of our driveway and she just dragged it as she took 3 steps.  I was still inside the car just watching, couldn’t do anything, she was already too far from me!  Again, you can imagine what happened to a quilted very soft lamb skin leather being dragged on a rough uneven floor!  Thank God, only one corner of the bag got a bit destroyed.

If this bag could talk, I’m sure I’d hear a lot of sniffs…well, good think it can’t! 😛

So for bag lovers out there, don’t let this not so good experience happen to you.  Be careful 🙂

So there it is...the thread that gives me an eyesore
So here it is…the thread that gives me an eyesore.  Poor Bag!

Uniqlo MOA

I don’t frequent the area of MOA or any place beyond Makati as it’s a bit far for me.  But my friend Fides and I decided to check out Uniqlo one Friday afternoon when our kids had no school.  The “no school” gave us a chance to consider traveling all the way to Pasay.

I just wanted to look for the lounge set I was able to buy in Hong Kong a couple of years back which I so totally LOVE!  I regretted I only bought one!  So here I am wishing they still had it or something like it.

We left after lunch around 1pm, and arrived Mall of Asia (MOA) in 15 minutes.  Thank God there wasn’t any traffic.  We literally just went there to go inside Uniqlo, shop around a bit, and leave.  We didn’t even get a snack coz we wanted to get out of the area before rush hour traffic.  We decided to go to Serendra to eat instead so that it was already half way home.

So here’s what I  was able to buy.

I found the lounge set! A bit different but they felt very comfortable (P1,300+/-).  Got a few tops (P799-I refused to get anything more expensive..hehe) and a few other inner garments.
Then got some stuff from the men’s department. Shorts at P995, Collared Shirt P995, and  plain shirts at P499.

Kids clothes were a bit on the expensive side so I didn’t buy any.  I was only planning to buy a couple of lounge sets for sleeping or just to wear at home, but I ended up grabbing other stuff…which made me spend almost P10k!  Note to self: just get what you plan to buy! 😛

Comfy Preggy Shoes

There comes a point in pregnancy where you just want to be comfortable.  I’m in my 6th month and I’m in the stage where I want to wear very soft and comfortable shoes all the time.  So what do I end up wearing?  I have 2 flat soft soled shoes I love wearing with jeans or at times leggings or shorts.

1st are my gap flat shoes I bought on sale for around Php1,900-Php2,100. I just can’t remember (part of my forgetfulness when pregnant).   They lasted me a day in Disneyland so I guess it’s been tested out quite well to be really comfy shoes.  They have soft rubber all throughout the soles covering the entire soles of your feet.  So if you step on something sharp, it won’t get destroyed nor would your feet get hurt.

The other pair of comfy shoes are the Yosi Samra foldable flats.  These are softer and foldable in half so you can easily put them in your bag for traveling or just having an extra pair with you.  These shoes though are meant for flat surfaces.  Don’t make a mistake in walking on small stones or anything sharp, wet, or rough with these shoes coz the leather underneath can get destroyed.  The rubber soles don’t cover the entire soles of your feet so it could be folded in half.  So it’s the part that doesn’t have any rubber sole that could get destroyed.  So be careful.  This retails for around Php2,250-Php3,000 depending on the material/style.  You can buy these shoes at Power Plant Mall Archaeology wing and Guess outlets in the South and Greenbelt.  Check out http://www.yosisamra.com/ for pictures of the different styles and colors.  I wanted to get the perforated black ones but my size wasn’t available so I ended up getting a classic charcoal pair.
